Summary of Incident:
On 11-12-09 at 7:06PM, Tomah Police responded to the intersection of
State Highway 12&16 and Sime Ave. for a reported traffic crash involving
an SUV and a Semi. The Semi was entering State Highway 12&16 from Sime
Ave. and an SUV, driven by a 33-year-old resident of Monroe County,
struck the side of the semi-trailer. Tomah Officers, along with medical
personnel, determined the driver of the SUV was deceased. The name of
the deceased is being withheld pending notification of family members.
The crash remains under investigation by the Tomah Police Department and
the Wisconsin State Patrol. The Tomah Police Department was assisted by
the Tomah Fire Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, Monroe County
Sheriff's Department, Tomah Area Ambulance Service and the Monroe County
Coroners Office.
